Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern all repairs, diagnostics, and services performed by iTech Mobile Repair, based in Southern Illinois. By leaving your device with us, you agree to the following terms:

1. Diagnostic Services

We offer free or low-cost diagnostics depending on the service.

If a device cannot be repaired, any incurred costs to date must be paid before the device is returned. If you fail to pay for, or collect a device within 90 days, it becomes the property of iTech Mobile Repair. 

Devices that are deemed beyond repair will be returned in the same or better condition, unless the failure occurred as part of the repair attempt (you’ll be notified immediately).

2. Repair Authorization

By signing a service form or leaving a device with us, you authorize iTech Mobile Repair to:

Perform diagnostics and repairs

Disassemble the device as needed for evaluation

Replace parts, components, or assemblies as required

3. Warranty Coverage

Unless otherwise stated, most phone and tablet repairs come with a Limited Lifetime Warranty against manufacturer defects on parts we install. Warranty includes:

✅ Manufacturing defects in parts
✅ Installation-related issues

Warranty does not cover:

❌ Cracks, impact damage, or liquid exposure
❌ Mishandling, negligence, or improper use
❌ Third-party tampering or unauthorized repairs after service

All warranty claims are subject to inspection by our technicians.

4. Device Handling & Data

While we take every precaution, iTech Mobile Repair is not responsible for data loss. Please back up your data before service.

If needed, we may briefly access the operating system to test repairs (with your permission).

We do not intentionally view, access, or copy personal data without prior notification.

Any data accessed during the course of diagnostics, repair, or service on a device entrusted to iTech Mobile Repair may be subject to limited inspection only as necessary to complete or verify repairs. While we do not actively search for personal content, we are legally obligated to report any illegal material—including Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or other criminal content—that is inadvertently discovered during the normal course of service.

iTech Mobile Repair complies with all applicable Illinois state laws and U.S. federal laws, including mandatory reporting statutes. If illegal content is found, service will be halted immediately and the appropriate law enforcement agencies will be notified.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure compliance with these laws while respecting our customers’ privacy and only access data required to complete the requested service.

Any customer data that is temporarily accessed, transferred, or stored through iTech Mobile Repair’s systems or equipment in the normal course of service—including during data recovery, transfer, system upgrades, or operating system reinstallations—is retained only for the duration necessary to complete the requested service.

Once service is completed, all retained data is permanently deleted using commercially accepted data erasure methods to help ensure that no customer information remains on our systems.

iTech Mobile Repair does not make or retain copies of customer data beyond the scope of the requested work, and we do not access, view, or share personal data unless required for technical verification or by law.

5. Part Orders & Special Repairs

Parts not in stock may require prepayment in full.

If an order or request for service is cancelled prior to completing service, the cost of any parts and materials plus a 10% restocking fee will be deducted from any refunds issued. 

Estimated completion times may vary depending on part availability, complexity, or shipping delays. We’ll keep you informed along the way.

6. Abandoned Devices

Devices left for more than 90 days without communication may be considered abandoned and used to cover part/labor costs. We will make every effort to contact you before this occurs.

7. Liability

At iTech Mobile Repair, we take the utmost care in handling every device. However, we are not liable for pre-existing conditions, underlying issues not visible during intake, or damage caused by prior repairs performed by third parties.

If a device cannot be fully tested upon intake—due to power failure, screen issues, liquid damage, or other limitations—we cannot be held responsible for any undisclosed or non-functional components discovered after service begins.

Electronic device repair involves inherent risks, including the possibility of component failure during disassembly, reassembly, or testing. Even small amounts of electrical current can irreparably damage sensitive components, and screen panels are fragile, particularly after extended use. While we follow industry-standard practices and exercise extreme care, iTech Mobile Repair cannot be held responsible for any unintentional damage that may occur during the course of repair or service.

Additionally, not all repairs can be completed successfully, and in some cases, hidden issues may surface as a result of a completed repair or attempted repair. These may result in additional labor or part costs, which will be discussed with the customer before proceeding.

8. Payment & Refunds

Full payment is due upon completion and pickup of the device. No device will be released until full and complete payment has been received, unless payment arrangements or a financing agreement is reached, including placing the device in question under the digital control of iTech Mobile Repair

We accept cash, credit/debit, and digital payments. We DO NOT accept check payments.

Refunds may be issued on a case-by-case basis for services not rendered or failed repairs.
